Privacy Policy - OD2 Temp Mail

OD2 Temp Mail ("we", "our", or "the app") is a disposable/temporary email inbox application. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Overview

OD2 Temp Mail does not require you to create an account, provide your real name, or supply any personally identifying information to use the app. Temporary email addresses are generated automatically and are ephemeral by design.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data exclusively on your device using a local database (Isar) and shared preferences:

• Generated temporary email addresses
• Received email messages (subject, sender, body)
• App settings and preferences (e.g., theme, notification preferences)

This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 2.2. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

2.2 Data Transmitted to Our Mail Service

To deliver the core functionality, the app communicates with the OD2 mail service API. The following is sent over the network:

• The temporary email address you are using (to fetch incoming messages)
• Requests to generate or refresh a temporary email address

No data linking your temporary inbox to your real identity is ever sent.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information (Firebase Analytics)

The app uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to help us understand general usage patterns. Firebase may automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system version, and screen resolution
• App version and session duration
• Crash reports and performance data
• Coarse location (country/region) inferred from IP address

Firebase Analytics does not collect the contents of your emails. You can review Google's data practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

2.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (Android Ad ID / IDFA on iOS)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• IP address (used to serve region-appropriate ads)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:

• Locally stored emails and addresses are retained until you manually delete them or uninstall the app.
• Firebase Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention policies (default: 14 months).
• AdMob data is retained per Google's advertising data policies.

Because temporary email addresses are ephemeral, any messages associated with an address are automatically purged from the mail service after a short period defined by the service.

OD2 Temp Mail is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect data transmitted between the app and our mail service API (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (e.g., app sandboxing). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access - know what data is held about you
• Deletion - request deletion of your data
• Opt-out - disable personalized advertising via device settings
• Portability - receive a copy of your locally stored data (accessible via device file manager)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
